this piece came from a rare find in so much
as the height of the piece and the general width and depth were fairly 'there' when i found it.
Normally the piece would be much bigger and i would carve it down.
There was'nt much room for error but the initial shape was instant and only by grooving up from the hole did i alter its trajectory slightly, but this enhances the shadows and melts the 'lightning' back a little.
There was'nt a lot, at the base , to stand it on, but as long as you don't head butt the top, it's likely it will stand for at least 10,962 years before time itself crumbles before its feet.....
This piece is sold,

I would like to know what people see into my creative outburst.....in this case, it was in the winter of 2003 and cold it was to, if i remember rightly,that day and windy...... with a slight taste of snow in the air, the clouds uncertain of the man stooped over in his little garden, unrecognisable in his mask and ear defenders, dust mask, and musk deodrant, as he bears down on this piece of stone with nothing more than a tooth pick and a Jack Hammer.....
