One of those pieces of stone that i was afraid to start in case i did'nt do it full justice.....
An absolutely stunning piece of stone ( if i say so myself....and i do....but i merely talk of the piece of stone as apposed
to what i created from it (!) )........ it was as large a piece as i'd ever worked at the time ( early 2003 me thinks).....the white speckles at the base which diminished as i carved the top, such a rare beast......and it was 'hard' as well and a lot of struggle to rub down.......Big Sails it was aptly named at the time.....i had done some smaller 'sails' and liked the curves and shadows.....ok, sails is not a true representation as there is no boat and they overlap and things, but hey, thats artistic drivers licence me thinks.....i had to drag this out my cottage by its hair.....it did'nt want to leave....
