Please also note that, as everthything is handmade and in limited quantities, and there is only moi, i can only make so many things and, therefore, dissapointment should be put on hold when it is discovered that i have none of the enclosed items either in the galleries or sitting around my house.
This, especially, being the case with the Driftwood as there is only a certain amount of wood washed in.
I use the wood accordingly to its lengths and colours and although limiting it tends to make for the individuality so common to the Driftwood craft.
This works great until someone asks for something and the wood just is'nt the right length or width or colour, or i just have'nt got enough. In certain, rare, cases i will substitute, into the piece, some 'real' wood, but only when it does not take away from the overall character.
It would be so much simpler to walk into a builders yard and walk out with everything the right length and width and straight and stable...but! the whole reason for working with Driftwood is because it is none of these things and the best part is collecting it from around the Lizard coastline......
Having said all that, if time can hold onto patience, then, patience can wait for toffee, in other words, i can make something but not always quickly......which has nothing to do with toffee.....or any other sweet chewy things......
Also......i can email available pictures of items that are not sold as i do tend to photograph most things......
